Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini is Picking a Fight with Some Political parties: Just take a look.
Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini is picking a fight with some political parties stating that they are gaining mileage because of him. We have seen him picking a fight with Democratic Alliance (DA), Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), and others including the media houses such as eNCA.
You may recall that Dlamini’s media exposure started in July 2021 during the civil unrest. He rose to prominence during the July unrest when he protected Maponya Mall in Soweto. Since then, he has led several marches in Gauteng Province, Polokwane and today the 10th of April 2022, they are launching Operation Dudula in Durban under the umbrella of dealing with the problems caused by illegal foreigners
On social media, Nhlahla Lux has indicated that he is “working closely” with government ministers in his operations. We have seen several posts saying that he is endorsed by several politicians and political parties
However, even though Dlamini is claiming to be “working closely with the government”, the minister of police recently addressed a media briefing denouncing Operational Dudula and its antics. In addition to that, the minister of Home Affairs during the Diepsloot stakeholders meeting said Operation Dudula should not take law into their own hands. President Ramaphosa also lambasted Operation Dudula saying that they are a group of vigilantes
It is sad to note that Operation Dudula is only targeting poor Africans instead of marching to the SAPS headquarters for example to demand good policing for combating crimes and the scourge of drugs. Dudula movement should be putting more effort into working hand in hand with the Home Affairs in order to fix the borders, if ever there is a loophole, they should spend more time crafting strategies of border and influx control. But they are spending more energy on helpless people, who are not even policymakers. In his mind, Dlamini is thinking only black African migrants are a problem. It is only the black ones taking jobs and bringing drugs. Of which this can’t be true
