Gauteng Provincial Chairperson of Action SA, Funzi Ngobeni, and Chairperson of the Youth Forum, Hluphi Gafane, have been hijacked in Midrand
ActionSA Gauteng provincial chairperson Funzi Ngobeni was hijacked on Tuesday evening.
In a short statement signed by the party’s national chairperson Michael Beaumont, the party said Ngobeni was hijacked together with ActionSA Youth Forum leader Hluphi Gafane.
“I write to inform you that our Gauteng Provincial Chairperson, Funzi Ngobeni, and Chairperson of the Youth Forum, Hluphi Gafane, are believed to have been victims of a hijacking this evening.
“Both Funzi and Hluphi are currently missing,” read the statement.
Beaumont added: “ActionSA leadership is working closely with the families, vehicle tracking company and law enforcement agencies. Everything that can be done to expedite the safe return of our leaders is being done.
“I ask that you hold Funzi and Hluphi, and their families, in your thoughts and pray for their safe return,”
Beaumont said the party will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.
The duo were driving a Toyota Hilux reg LC 06 TC GP. The vehicle was last detected in Midrand.
ActionSA leader indicated that

We are working closely with Funzi and Hluphi’s families, the vehicle tracking company, and law enforcement agencies. Please hold Funzi and Hluphi and their families in your thoughts and pray for their safe return”
